As you can see VMware now have a new VCP Logo. The new VCP logo has been placed out on the VCP section of the Website for you to download.
Some other VCP news from VMware:
We currently have over 53,000 VCPs, of which over 15,000 are VCP4s. The second number is rapidly increasing since the launch of the VCP4 certification in the 3rd quarter of 2009. Think about it, 6 months into the certification and we already have 15,000 VCP4s!
With that many VCP's I think it's about time I started working towards my VCDX Exams.

I'd like to start working on VCDX too, kind of difficult though until they bring out version 4 Enterprise Admin and Design exams, I haven't done a whole lot (except upgrades) to VI 3.5 in a long time now, and also don't want to take two exams only to have to take more to upgrade them to version 4.
I think you can do a version 3 Ent Ad exam and then do the v4 Design Exam. I think they are flexable like that.
Simon,
At this moment, only the VCDX3 certification exists.
A few candidates used a vSphere design to get certified, but they still receive the VCDX3 certification.

HI Frank
So does that mean, when VCDX4 comes out, you'll need to re-take the Defence to upgrade?
I'm not sure how the upgrade path will look like exactly.
We are still reviewing some options.
If you find out can you let me know please?
Cheers
Will do!

My understanding is that the plan is for VCDX3 holders to only have to take the vSphere Design exam to upgrade to VCDX4. We will find out in the coming weeks...
It's taking a frustratingly long time for either the upgrade info or the new exams to come out :|
