Hitachi Data Systems’ Bloggers Day #HDSday
It's 6am here in San Jose, as you can tell I have a little jetlag. If you regularly follow me on Twitter, you'll probably know that I am over here in the US for the Hitachi Data Systems' Bloggers day which takes place tomorrow and Wednesday.
I'll be joined today by a small list of other bloggers, some of wish I've met before at the Gestalt IT Tech Field Days. So I'm really looking forward to catching up with them and meeting the other guys who I have only chatted to on twitter. Here is a list of the attendees for you to follow.
- Devang Panchigar – @storagenerve – www.storagenerve.com
- Chris Evans @chrismevans thestoragearchitect.com
- Rick Vanover @rickvanover rickvanover.com
- Bas Raayman – @BasRaayman – www.basraayman.com
- Greg Knieriemen – @knieriemen – www.iknerd.com
- Nigel Poulton – @nigelpoulton – www.nigelpoulton.com
- Phil Jaenke – @rootwyrm – prjdragon.blogspot.com
- Paul Miller – @paulmiller – cloudofdata.com
- Elias Khnaser – @ekhnaser – www.eliaskhnaser.com/blogs.aspx
Now, I really do not know what to expect from these two days. Personally I've never used any Hitachi Storage, I think the only thing Hitachi I've ever used was my family TV many years ago. I am very interested in finding out more about their recently announced UCP (Unified Compute Platform). I was lucky enough to have a long presentation about the VCE VBlock at the last Gestalt IT Tech Field Day, so I will no doubt be looking at what the Hitachi UCP offers compared to the VBlock.
Feel free to contact myself or any of the other bloggers with any questions you would like us to ask.
